Guardian Capital Partners Announces New Partner Ryan S. Northington

WAYNE, PENNSYLVANIA, September 26, 2018 – Guardian Capital Partners is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan S. Northington as a Partner.  Mr. Northington brings to Guardian a broad investment management and operations background including 13 years of private equity buyout and growth investment experience in various sectors including value-added distribution and manufacturing, retail/consumer and multi-unit business models, healthcare, aviation services, software, product marketing, and internet/media.  In addition, Mr. Northington also brings extensive hands-on operating experience as a senior executive.  Across his private equity and operating executive experience, Mr. Northington has led or managed more than 25 buyout transactions.

Most recently, Mr. Northington was the Chief Financial Officer of SupplyOne, Inc. where he had enterprise-wide responsibility for finance, accounting, human resources, administration, and corporate development/M&A.  Mr. Northington joined SupplyOne in this role in 2014 after having served on the company’s Board of Directors since 2007.  SupplyOne is a value-added distributor and converter of packaging products with over 1,400 employees and 20 locations in the U.S.

Prior to his tenure at SupplyOne, Mr. Northington was a Partner with MVP Capital Partners, an operationally-focused middle market private equity fund based in Radnor, PA.  Mr. Northington joined MVP in 2001 and became a Partner in 2006. Mr. Northington led investments and served on the boards of numerous MVP portfolio companies, including Air Medical Group Holdings, MCMC LLC, SupplyOne, Saxbys Coffee, and Swiss Farm Stores.

Before joining MVP, Mr. Northington was the Chief Operating Officer for a knowledge management software start-up, was Vice President, Strategic Alliances and served as head of business development at a global sports media and technology company and was Director of Product Marketing for Optum/Metasys, Inc., a supply chain software company.

Mr. Northington earned his B.A. degree from Davidson College, where he was a four-year letterman on the men’s soccer team.
