Guardian Capital Partners Announces Recapitalization of Elmer Schultz Services, Inc., Establishing a Platform in Commercial Foodservice Equipment Service

September 23, 2026

Wayne, PA - Guardian Capital Partners (“Guardian”) today announced the recapitalization of Elmer Schultz Services, Inc. (“Elmer Schultz” or the “Company”), a third-generation, family-owned provider of service, parts, sales, and installation for commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment. Elmer Schultz will serve as Guardian’s platform in the commercial foodservice equipment service and parts market. Amber and Kirby Mallon, the Company’s owners, are rolling meaningful equity alongside Guardian and will continue to lead the business. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded more than 75 years ago and headquartered in Philadelphia, Elmer Schultz provides “hot side” and “cold side” equipment service across the Tri-State Area. The Company serves restaurants, institutional foodservice operators, and other commercial kitchen operations with emergency and non-emergency repair, warranty and out-of-warranty service, planned maintenance programs, installation, and parts. Elmer Schultz is a CFESA-certified service provider recognized for high first-time fix rates and long-standing manufacturer relationships.
Guardian views Elmer Schultz as an attractive services platform in a large, fragmented, and non-discretionary market. Commercial kitchens depend on recurring, mission-critical service and parts, and the sector remains highly fragmented across independent regional providers. Guardian intends to support the Company’s continued organic growth, expanding its technician base, service offering, and geographic footprint, while pursuing acquisitions of complementary businesses.
“Elmer Schultz is a stellar company with the reputation, service culture, and operating processes to anchor a leading platform in the commercial foodservice equipment service and parts market,” said Molly Borowski, Principal at Guardian Capital Partners. “The market is large, fragmented, and driven by recurring, non-discretionary demand. We are excited to partner with Amber, Kirby, and the team to accelerate organic growth and pursue a disciplined acquisition strategy,” noted Ryan Northington, Managing Partner at Guardian.
“It’s been over 75 years since my grandfather started Elmer Schultz, and I could not be prouder of how far we’ve come,” said Kirby Mallon of Elmer Schultz. “Partnering with Guardian lets us focus on growth, invest in our people, and take the Company to the next level. We’ve built something great that others want to be a part of, and this is an exciting next chapter for our employees and customers.”
Guardian was advised by Blank Rome LLP. Elmer Schultz was advised by Conlin & Co. and McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC.
